Hatha Yoga Retreat

Yoga is so much more than just executing physical poses. There is a lot of misunderstanding about that. Real Yoga makes a big difference. We need to address the complete human being, not just the physical part.

What we aim for in the retreat is that you will learn to become an independant Yogi or Yogini and over time become master of your own life. You will no longer have to depend on your teacher or a fitness center to do your exercises and to relax. That might be nice, but will not solve anything structurally. For that purpose we need more knowledge.

If you have become curious after reading this website and you are interested, please contact us.

During this 5 day intensive retreat you will be living like a Yogi. A fixed daily rhythm with little external stimuli helps to calm down your mind. There are three Yoga sessions per day where we start with physical poses and end with theoretical study on the Universal Laws.

In total you will receive 30 hours of Yoga training.

Soon you discover your senses will come to rest. Through the physical poses your energy will start to flow again and you will feel fresh and vivid. Ayurvedic or vegetarian food will support in the purifying of the body.

There will be plenty of free time between the Yoga sessions and possibilities to speak in private with your teachers.

The following subjects will be addressed and discussed during the retreat:

  • Moral Principles (Yama)
    - Nonviolence (Ahimsa)
    - Truthfulness (Satya)
    - Honesty (Asteya)
    - Chastity (Brahmacarya)
    - Desirelessness (Aparigraha)

First and foremost you learn to say STOP to all the current habits and conditioning in the areas of violence, lies, theft, unchastity and desire within yourself.

This will allow you to get more inner peace.

  • Moral Ideals (Niyama)
    - Purity (Śaucha)
    - Satisfaction (Santosha)
    - Sobriety (Tapas)
    - Self Study (Svadhyaya)
    - Surrender (Ishvara Pranidhana)

Subsequent we try to create a firm foundation in our being by understanding what purity, satisfaction, target orientation, Self study and surrender contain.

  • Asana

Without a doubt, by correct performance of the physical poses you will get: health, suppleness and strength. Starting points are step 1 and 2.

  • Subtle anatomy

We do not only have a physical body. Everybody knows we also have thoughts, emotions and intuition. Until now no one has been able to explain clearly and exactly how these aspects of energy fit together. Nobody was aware of the precise relationship between mind and matter. This information has now been brought back to the attention by Śri Yogācārya Ajīta Mahārāja. It has been tested and tackled from a scientific point of view, as Yoga teaches us to do so. You will receive a digital copy of this very valuable spiritual knowledge prior to the start of the course.

We believe that Yoga should be available for everyone. After registration you will be asked to voluntarily contribute for the less fortunate. We use these extra funding to organize a retreat that is free of charge. This contribution will be added to the course fee.
